Frequently Asked Questions

What are my payment options?

  • We accept payments via credit card, Interac e-Transfer, and PayPal. In all cases, course fees must be paid in full (in CAD Dollars) prior to the first course session.

Is it possible to pay in installments?

  • While we require payment in full before your course’s start date, it is possible to split the payment across multiple transactions. Contact us for more information and product eligibility.

Do you offer any discounts?

  • On certain products, there are discounts available to previous and/or existing full course students. Group discounts may be available if two or more students sign up for a full course at the same time. Restrictions apply. Please email us for more discount details. Offer terms are subject to change.
  • There are no discounts available for our Written Mock Exams.

What are the policies for refunds and deferrals?

  • Please review the Refund Page for details on refunds and deferrals.

Can I get credit on my taxes for course fees?

  • Fees paid are not eligible for education or tuition tax credits under the Canadian Income Tax Act as we’re not a designated educational institution in Canada. However, if you are/were self-employed at the time you incurred course fees, these costs may be deductible against your income in that year. Please consult a tax professional or accountant for further guidance.

How are virtual courses delivered?

  • We offer live and self-paced courses through third-party providers: Zoom and Thinkific.

Do I need to attend course sessions at certain times?

  • Our Live Teacher Written Course and Live Practical Courses require students to attend scheduled course sessions.
  • Our Premium Access Video Course and Basic Access Video Course have no formal class times. All learning happens online, so students are able to complete the course on their own time at their own pace. That said, there is a six month subscription on both of these courses.

How do I access my online course content?

  • You’ll receive an email with information on how to log into your online course portal typically within 1 business day after your full payment (or your first installment billing payment) is processed.

When will I receive my course manual?

  • You’ll receive an email with you course manual(s) typically within 1 business day after your full payment is processed.

What do I need to do prior to my first online course session?

  • You will receive a welcome email prior to your first course session providing valuable information about your study plan and what you’ll need to prepare before your course starts. You will also be able to view an orientation information in your online resources that will help you navigate your course.
  • You’ll want to log into the course session early to test your computer or check out the virtual room. You can log in early, but because our virtual rooms do not go live until 5-10 minutes prior to the course start time, you will not be able to enter the virtual room or see any information related to the event until then.

What do I need to do prior to my first face-to-face course session?

  • You will receive a welcome email prior to your first course session providing valuable information about your study plan and what you’ll need to prepare before your course starts. You will also be able to view an orientation information in your online resources that will help you navigate your course.
  • Be sure to review your class schedule to confirm the venue location and scheduled times.

How will my course manual be delivered? 

  • All course materials are delivered electronically in PDF format.
  • If you require a printed course manual, contact us and we’ll mail it to you within two weeks of you completing your Student Registration Form. Eligible to Canadian residents only.

I’m not sure which course is right for me. How do I choose?

  • If you’re a prospective written student, please take a look at our Written Course Page which compares details on each of our course offerings. If you’re an internationally educated physiotherapy student we recommend enrolling in either our Live Teacher Virtual Course or Premium Access Video Course. If you’re a Canadian educated physiotherapist student contact us and we’ll assess the best course for you.
  • If you’re a prospective practical student, please email or call us and we will help guide you with your course selection.

When will practical courses be released for my exam date?

  • Typically, we will release our full practical courses four to six months before an exam date and courses start two to three months before an exam date. Some students prefer to have additional time between their course end date and their exam date and will choose to enroll in an early course start date.

When will written courses be released for my exam date?

  • Typically, we will release our full practical courses three to five months before an exam date and courses start two to three months before an exam date. How can I extend my enrollment?

  • We know that study plans can change, and we’re here to help you succeed however we can.
  • If you don’t feel ready for your exam date, you can extend your online account access after your initial course expiration date. To purchase additional prep time, contact us and we will provide you with more details.

What are the technical requirements for live and self-paced virtual courses? 

  • Courses on our course platform are designed to work on an internet-connected devices running either the Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox browsers. A broadband internet connection is highly recommended to access the rich media in the online course platform.
  • The course platform allows you to engage with the content and watch the course videos with bandwidth of at least 750 Kbps download speed. At this speed, you may experience video buffering and some slowness. Videos can be viewed in HD, or “high” quality with a minimum recommended bandwidth of 2 Mbps download speed. Your browser performance will also affect your experience on the platform. To avoid browser-based issues and to ensure the best experience, we recommend that you update your browser to its latest version.

  • If you have trouble logging in, or forgot your password, you can reset it by clicking on Forgot your password? on the login screen.

I’m having issues accessing my online course portal or mock exam(s)?

  • Here are a few troubleshooting tips:
