Eva Ruiz

Bio

Eva completed both her Master of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of British Columbia. She brings a wealth of experience from her work in acute care with Vancouver Coastal Health, where she has supported patients across a range of specialized areas including acute medicine, burns, ortho\trauma, solid organ transplant, bone marrow transplant, and thoracic surgery.

With a long-standing passion for teaching, Eva has worn many hats, as a behavioural interventionist, study session leader, and everyday educator to her patients. She strives to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging space where learners of all styles feel supported to ask questions, take risks, and grow with confidence.

When she’s not at work, Eva loves to get creative and unwind, whether it’s crocheting, baking, painting, hiking, or spending quality time with her cat.

Farren Leigh

Bio

Farren’s academic journey sparked a passion for helping others navigate their own learning processes. She appreciates that no two learners are the same. Everyone hears, sees, and understands things in their own way. Farren wants students to feel comfortable communicating what works best for them and strives to be flexible and adaptable to each person’s unique needs.

Farren completed her Masters of Physiotherapy at McGill University and currently works as a physiotherapist in a private practice clinic in B.C. She values being part of a team where she can learn from her colleagues and continue to develop her clinical skills. Farren has also been a Stott Pilates instructor for many years and genuinely enjoys sharing knowledge and empowering others.

Jessica Abel-Adegbite

Bio

Jessica holds a dual Master of Science in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Research from Dalhousie University (2021). Since then, she has continued to enhance her clinical expertise through advanced training in dry needling, shockwave therapy, GLA:D Canada, and both upper and lower Level 2 Orthopaedic Division courses. Most recently, she completed a Master of Clinical Science in Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Western University (2025).

In recent years, Jessica has cultivated a passion for teaching, serving as a clinical instructor in the entry-to-practice MSc PT labs at Dalhousie University. She is dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students can build confidence, strengthen their clinical reasoning skills, and develop a lifelong passion for learning.

Jessica also has a strong interest in research, with a publication in Gait & Posture and experience as a peer reviewer for the journal. She believes in evidence-based practice principles and bridging the gap between research and clinical practice.

Lydia Straznicky

Bio

Lydia Straznicky graduated from Queens Unviersity with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy in 2021. She has pursued advanced training in several areas, including acupuncture through McMaster University (2021) and certification in lymphedema therapy from the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (2022). Lydia currently practices at the Ottawa Cancer and Lymphatics Centre, where she specializes in oncology rehabilitation and lymphedema management.

Lydia has a longstanding passion for teaching and mentorship. During her academic years, she served as a calculus tutor, one-on-one academic mentor, anatomy lab teaching assistant, and peer advisor for first-year students. As a physiotherapist, she has supervised students at various levels, including physiotherapy, physiotherapy assistant, kinesiology, and high school co-op placements. She also facilitates educational workshops through the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, covering topics such as lymphedema care and returning to exercise post-cancer treatment.

Lydia is excited to join the PT Exam Prep team as a way to support the next generation of physiotherapists. Having graduated during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she understands the unique challenges that come with transitioning from student to licensed professional and is committed to helping others navigate that journey with confidence.

Mackenzie Holden

Bio

Mackenzie Holden completed her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University in 2020, following her undergraduate studies at Queen’s University. She spent five years working in private practice in Toronto, focusing on orthopedic and sports physiotherapy, and now works with Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services. Mackenzie has a strong MSK background and a passion for effective communication, particularly the art of educating and empowering her patients.

Mackenzie strongly believes in problem-based learning because of its relevance to real-world practice and brings this approach to both her clinical practice and teaching. She has been actively involved in clinical education, having supervised numerous University of Toronto physiotherapy students for shadowing opportunities and placements, and has shared her insights as a guest speaker for McMaster’s “Transition to Practice” lecture to graduating PT students.

Outside of work, she enjoys an active lifestyle with running, cycling, strength, and yoga, and teaches a Hot HIIT Pilates class weekly. She also has two cats, Susan and Phoebe, who may say hi if you're lucky!

Peri Fedor

Bio

Peri is a recent graduate of Western University's Master of Physical Therapy program and is currently working in acute care in Ontario.

Having recently completed the national exams herself, Peri understands firsthand the challenges, stress, and determination it takes to succeed. She brings a fresh perspective to exam prep and is passionate about supporting students as they navigate the same journey she just completed. Her strengths lie in breaking down complex concepts, sharing practical study strategies, and helping students build confidence in both written and clinical reasoning.

Outside of physiotherapy, Peri enjoys early morning runs, keeping up with multiple book clubs and cozy hangouts with friends. She’s excited to help you stay grounded, motivated, and fully prepared as you work toward becoming a licensed physiotherapist in Canada!

Taylor Durham

Bio

Taylor completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto in 2022 after earning her Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph in 2018. While at Guelph, she played five years of varsity rugby and worked as a strength and conditioning coach for varsity athletes. Her clinical experience has focused on orthopaedics, with additional training in Integrated Dry Needling and a strong foundation in ergonomics and active rehab.

Taylor has always been passionate about supporting student development and success. She draws on her own experience navigating the licensing process to help students feel prepared and confident. Her teaching style is structured, encouraging, and rooted in clinical reasoning.

She focuses on breaking down complex concepts into practical, understandable pieces, emphasizing why we do what we do as clinicians.

One of the strategies Taylor uses regularly in her teaching is reflection: encouraging students to identify what went well, what could improve, and how they can apply key learning moments to future practice. By creating a space that’s interactive, supportive, and focused on growth, Taylor helps learners build the skills and confidence they need to succeed on their exams and in their careers.

Shreya Rewar

Bio

Shreya holds a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Alberta, where she focused her research on cancer rehabilitation, a field she is passionate about! She is certified in pelvic floor and lymphedema therapy and currently practices in general musculoskeletal and pelvic floor rehabilitation.

During her graduate studies, Shreya worked as a teaching assistant for the first-year Exercise Therapy course for MPT students at the University of Alberta. She also served as an examiner and standardized patient for clinical exams, an experience that sparked her lifelong dream of teaching and strengthened her ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, understandable steps.

Shreya enjoys mentoring resident physiotherapists and co-op students. She believes that with targeted guidance and strategic studying, every candidate can succeed in their licensing exams. She is dedicated to helping learners identify gaps and develop effective study plans.

Fluent in Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, and English, she also has proficiency in Sanskrit and is currently learning French. Committed to lifelong learning, she enjoys staying active through yoga, cycling, hiking, running, and strength training.

Vanessa Willis

Vanessa completed her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Queen’s University in 2024. With a long-standing passion for helping others grow, Vanessa is dedicated to supporting physiotherapy students as they build confidence and competence in their clinical skills. She believes in the power of clear, constructive feedback and works closely with students to help them improve and feel empowered throughout their learning journey. Vanessa currently works in private practice, outpatient orthopaedic rehab, and home care. This diverse clinical experience allows her to bring real-world knowledge and practical insights into her teaching.

She brings a warm, encouraging approach to education, focusing on each student’s individual progress and learning style. Her goal is to create an environment where students feel supported, capable, and prepared for success in their licensing exams and professional careers.

Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys coaching basketball, being outdoors, and relaxing with a good cup of coffee."

Asahi Ng

Bio

Asahi completed both her Master of Physical Therapy (2023) and Bachelor of Kinesiology (2016) at the University of British Columbia. Her experience includes inpatient + outpatient medical units with Fraser Health as well as private practice. Asahi has a special interest in neurologic rehabilitation and hopes to learn more in this specialization in future settings.

Asahi has always enjoyed teaching and coaching, with experience coaching youth soccer as well as mentoring during her undergraduate studies. Asahi believes there is great value and learning to be gained from a teaching perspective in these roles. She hopes to create a positive and inclusive learning environment in which students can develop their confidence, yet not be afraid to make mistakes.

Outside of work, you can find Asahi playing soccer, at the gym, exploring the city with friends, or watching the newest reality TV shows.

Juliana has a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Manitoba.

She has practiced in a variety of clinical areas including private practice, hip and knee pre/post operative clinics and subacute MSK units. She currently works in a short stay Regional Community Transition Program unit where she treats patients recovering from a variety of medical and subacute MSK conditions.

She has a passion for teaching and helping others. Juliana focuses on creating an inclusive learning environment where students can build their confidence and refine their clinical reasoning skills. If you are lucky enough to be one of her students, know that Juliana is dedicated and motivated in helping you become the best exam candidate you can be!

Bio

Mary graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 2014. She has been a practicing physiotherapist since March 2014 at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, in Edmonton, in spinal cord injury, stroke, brain injury, and general neurology. When not at the Glenrose, Mary works with various sports teams, including, rugby, football, and hockey. She has extensive experience as an OSCE examiner, working closely with the University of Alberta’s physiotherapy graduate program and Bridging Program, and has been an examiner for the National Practical Exam.

Mary is very passionate about helping to ensure that Canada has strong, capable, and respected physiotherapists. She mentors University of Alberta graduate students and Bridging Program students, and looks for every opportunity to teach and challenge future physiotherapists to find their passion, and develop into strong practitioners, who always strive to excel in their area and be lifelong learners.

Dean has been a practicing physiotherapist since November 2014 at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital and has acquired experience in the areas of geriatric inpatient, stroke and brain injury, orthopedic inpatients and spinal cord injury. Dean has worked extensively with the University of Alberta as both a standardized patient and examiner for their various school, and bridging program practical exams. From both the hands-on and academic experience Dean has gained, he has developed a passion for assisting students in passing the practical component of the Physiotherapy licensing exam, and has tutored students on a volunteer basis by running mock OSCEs and providing information on the national exam expectations.

Dean is comfortable providing direct feedback, and believes in giving students the skills to engage in quality practice sessions both with an instructor and in their respective study groups.

Patrick Quimio

Bio

Patrick completed his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto in 2019, following a Bachelor of Kinesiology with Distinction from the University of Manitoba in 2017. He recently earned his Master of Clinical Science in Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from Western University (2025), which awarded him the FCAMPT designation. Clinically, he works at Strive Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine in Toronto with a focus on head, neck, and jaw conditions, including temporomandibular disorders (TMD). Patrick has pursued extensive postgraduate training in manual therapy, spinal manipulation, dry needling, acupuncture, and advanced courses through the Orthopaedic Division.

Alongside clinical work, Patrick is active in physiotherapy education across Canada. He is currently a Teaching Assistant for the first-year musculoskeletal (MSK) units in the MScPT program at the University of Toronto. He has also supervised multiple clinical placements for the University of Manitoba and UBC and held a clinical faculty appointment with the UBC Department of Physical Therapy at the rank of Clinical Instructor. He now serves as an instructor and examiner with PT Exam Prep, helping students strengthen both their knowledge base and confidence in exam preparation

One approach Patrick integrates into both his teaching and clinical practice is self-reflection. At the end of an interaction, day, or week, he asks questions such as: “What are three things I did well today?” and “What are three things I can improve upon?” This structured reflection, paired with guidance and feedback, helps learners build strong habits and a solid foundation for success on their licensing exams.

James Na

Bio

James received his Master of Physiotherapy degree from Dalhousie University in 2019 after completing his Bachelor of Science, Honours in Chemistry. He was a recipient of the prestigious Undergraduate Student Research Award by Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). James is currently working at an acute care hospital. He has experience in general medicine, respiratory, orthopaedics, emergency, and outpatient physiotherapy.

James has been extensively involved in teaching opportunities throughout his undergraduate degree as he worked as both a teaching assistant and a tutor. As a new physiotherapist, James understands the difficulties students encounter when they take the exam. With this in mind, he works diligently to provide a conducive and effective learning environment for each session where he will listen and provide necessary feedback to maximize students’ performance. James is also fluent in conversation Korean.

Alysia McKillop

Alysia completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2018 at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Prior to this she obtained a Bachelor of Science with a major in Health Science at Mount Royal University in Calgary. Alysia has always had a passion for pediatric rehab and has spent her entire career working in a variety of pediatric settings. Her experience includes daily intensive inpatient rehab, school based therapy, private practice (in pediatrics), and community based rehab with Alberta Health Services.

Alysia has always had a natural desire to teach and coach. She believes in lifelong learning and is always looking for ways to continually grow as a clinician. Through teaching Alysia hopes to not only support her students on their journey to success, but to also continually learn from them.

One of the things Alysia enjoys most about teaching is finding new and unique ways to present material to students - making sure content is accessible and understood by everyone. She recognizes not everyone learns the same way and she strives to be adaptable and flexible to meet her student’s needs.

“I want my students to know that I am here for them. I want them to feel comfortable coming to me for help and letting me know when things just aren’t making sense. They have worked so hard to get to this point, and together we will get them over the finish line!”

Serena Midttun

Bio

Serena graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Masters of Physiotherapy in 2019. She currently works in a private practice clinic that specializes in treating neurological conditions. Before entering the physiotherapy profession, she worked as a research assistant at a spinal cord injury research centre and cognitive neuroscience lab.

Serena’s private practice clinic takes UBC Physiotherapy students for practicums, and this is where she discovered a joy for teaching and supporting the students through their placements. Outside of physiotherapy Serena enjoys exploring the local mountains, kayaking, and finding new baking recipes.

Alexandrea Murray

Alexandrea graduated from the University of Manitoba with her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2019. Prior to that, she graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelors of Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology in 2017. She is currently working at a private clinic in a rural setting where she treats clients with both orthopedic and neurological conditions. While in school, Alexandrea’s clinical placements included pulmonary rehab, pediatric inpatient, orthopedic outpatient, and medical & surgical inpatient wards.

Alexandrea’s passion for teaching comes from a lifelong love of learning. She finds it very rewarding to help people understand tough concepts and to help improve their comprehension on difficult subjects. With a background in coaching alpine skiing and volleyball, Alexandrea’s teaching style includes visual, kinaesthetic, and auditory methods.Alexandrea likes to keep a work/life balance by spending time with her family, friends and pets, running, road cycling, Crossfit, playing guitar, and travelling the world.

Leah Turman

Leah graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Master of Physical Therapy in 2018 after completing her Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2016. Leah soon moved to Vancouver where she has worked in private practice orthopaedics, hospital inpatient (acute medical, surgical), and long term care. Working in various areas of physiotherapy has allowed her to develop a diverse clinical skill set and passion for education.

Leah aims to provide a supportive and positive learning environment during every course session. Leah has experience teaching as a lab instructor and has delivered many interactive presentations involving physiotherapy, including injury prevention and lift/transfer education. Outside of work, you can find Leah hiking the west coast mountains, strength training, and enjoying the Vancouver food scene.

Bio

Nu received her Bachelors of Physical Therapy degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2003, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology degree from UBC in 2000. Upon graduation, Nu worked in both the public and private healthcare system for 4 years before choosing to focus on helping patients and families in the hospital system. During Nu’s 15+ years working in the second largest hospital in Canada, she has provided care in the full continuum of adults.

Nu has experience in the following areas: acute medicine, surgical, orthopedics, ICU, burns and plastics, trauma, hip and knee replacement, geriatrics, palliative care, cardiorespiratory care. Nu has contributed to the PT community through various activities such as:

• A previous instructor for the UBC IEPEP
• An associate clinical professor at UBC MPT program
• A Clinical Skills Instructor for first year cardiorespiratory (PHTH524) and second year critical care(PHTH564) MPT courses at UBC

Talia Campbell

Bio

Talia graduated with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2016. Prior to this she completed a Bachelor of Kinesology as well as a Masters of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary where she specialized in the clinical gait analysis of injured runners. Since starting her practice, she has completed Level 1 Kinetacore Dry Needling and Level 1 Manual Therapy through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Division. She currently works in a collaborative private practice that focuses on sports related injuries.

Talia is passionate about education and looks forward to helping her students to confidently approach their exams. In her spare time Talia enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Neil Nijjar

Bio

Neil completed his Masters of Physical Therapy, at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. Prior to this, he also received his Bachelors of Kinesiology from UBC.

As a life-long learner, he is currently pursuing his Orthopedic and Sports physiotherapy credentials. Through his years of practice, he has found his love for teaching future physiotherapists by offering his time as a clinical skills assistant at the UBC MPT program, doing in-house teaching sessions, and helping guide students who are pursuing their studies in both Kinesiology and Physiotherapy.

In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering within the local community football teams and enjoys playing basketball and soccer.

Erin Reeds

Bio

Erin graduated with her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from UBC in 2007 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the UVic in 2005. She has over 9 years of experience designing and implementing effective rehabilitation programs for clients with complex care needs including musculoskeletal and neurological injuries. Erin has worked in both acute hospital as well as private practice rehabilitation settings. She is passionate about neurological rehabilitation, specifically working with individuals who have suffered from acquired or traumatic brain injuries as well as individuals with Parkinson’s disease. Erin is certified in Acupuncture (AFCI) and is also a Registered Yoga Teacher allowing her to teach weekly adapted yoga classes to individuals with disabilities.

Erin was a yearly examiner for the PCE for 7 years and has a great understanding of the examination process. She recognizes the importance of being accountable to timelines and is passionate about providing a positive, effective learning environment to foster success for the candidates who are taking the PCE

I'm Katelyn Proctor, founder of PT Exam Prep. This is where I'm supposed to write about myself and assure you that I have extensive experience prepping students for the national exams. If that's what you are looking for, scroll down, it's all there, I promise. But, I believe one of PT Exam Prep's greatest assets isn't our experience, its our passion. We promise to always provide you with the most up to date, organized and comprehensive materials to help you prepare for your exams. What ultimately motivates us is being able to simplify studying so you don't waste an attempt or spend time studying things that aren't examinable.

Katelyn graduated from the University of British Columbia with her Masters in Physical Therapy. Her passion is helping other physiotherapists reach their goal. Whether that goal being improving clinical skills, or passing their national competency exams.

Karli is a physiotherapist working in private practice orthopaedics in Hamilton, Ontario. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Masters of Physical Therapy program.

Karli is a past student of PT Exam Prep - and used the written and OCE courses to pass her national exams! She is passionate about helping other hopeful physiotherapy candidates realize their full potential and pass their exams. One of Karli's strengths is her ability to help students improve their clinical reasoning skills.

When not in the clinic, Karli can be found in the gym, coaching group fitness at F45, baking sourdough bread or spending time with loved ones. Karli is excited to work with you to achieve your goal of becoming a fully licensed physiotherapist in Canada!

Liseanne Nelson

Bio

Liseanne graduated from McGill University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and then returned home to complete her Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto in 2016. She has since practiced in Canada for 2 years, gaining a wide variety of experience in both hospital and private practice settings. Liseanne has worked in outpatient amputee rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, complex continuing care and outpatient orthopaedics.

Looking to challenge herself further, Liseanne completed her licensing exam in the United States in 2017. She then spent one year working in a busy sports medicine clinic in New York City. Throughout this process, she became familiar with the challenges students face when getting licensed in a foreign country. Now back in Canada, Liseanne is excited to join the PT Prep team and pass on some of her knowledge to students facing similar challenges.

Lisa Lewis

Bio

Lisa graduated from the University of Manitoba with her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2017. She is currently working at a private clinic in Edmonton where she treats clients with orthopedic, vestibular and pediatric conditions. Lisa has experience as a physio in three different provinces over her career and has held various positions on provincial physiotherapy advocacy committees.

Lisa has always had a passion for teaching and learning. She loves the ability to bring her clinical knowledge into her teaching. Her love for learning has translated into her returning to school to pursue her Masters of Clinical Science in Advanced Health Care Practice in Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through Western University. Lisa is able to provide a reflective approach to learning as she is both actively a student and instructor. She understands that not everyone learns the same way and offers a multimodal teaching style to facilitate each unique learning style. Lisa has a background in coaching and playing volleyball at the university level and is an advocate for work/life balance. On her off time, you will find her reading, at yoga, working out or spending the night in with her husband and dog Josie.

Ana Zelembaba

Bio

Ana recently graduated from the University of British Columbia with her Masters of Physical Therapy degree. She currently works in a private practice clinic where she treats a variety of musculoskeletal conditions which ranges from sports injuries, to work safe related injuries, to post surgical replacements and repairs. She also has experience working in inpatient neurological rehab, acute medical care, and chronic disease management.

Ana is passionate about educating and empowering her clients and is beyond excited to join the team at PT Exam Prep. She firmly believes that learning happens best in a supportive and safe environment, where students feel they can comfortably explore, question, and challenge themselves. She understands that everyone has different learning styles, and does her best to adjust her teaching to promote engagement, comprehension, and overall success.

Outside of work, Ana enjoys running, hiking, and exploring many of Vancouver’s cafes to fuel her coffee addiction.

Christina Samy

Bio

Christina Samy graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 2014. Prior to physical therapy, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at York University in 2012.

Her clinical experiences are wide ranging; comprising of medical acute care, inpatient rehab, and orthopedic and neurological private practice. She is especially interested in working with the neurological population and went on to expand her clinical expertise in treating individuals with neurological dysfunction including stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s. She is trained in Neurodevelopmental Theory (NDT) and Bobath approaches to rehabilitation as well as in principles of CIMT for the upper and lower extremities.

Christina worked as a peer facilitator during her Masters of Physical Therapy at UofT, where she mentored first year physical therapy students with practical and theoretical principles. She has also participated in various teaching opportunities with the OIEPB bridging program, where she has worked with internationally trained therapists helping them prepare for their PCE.

Andrea Bui

Bio

Andrea graduated with her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2015 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2012. Currently, Andrea works in community paediatric care, supporting families with children who experience orthopaedic and neurological challenges. She also has a variety of experience working in private practice, geriatric home care, and acute hospital care.

Andrea has worked as a patient model for the U of A International PT Bridging Program as well as mentored individual students. She is excited to apply her passion for teaching to help candidates feel more comfortable and confident in their abilities. She strongly believes in continuously creating opportunities for learning and growth!

Laura Tambosso

Bio

Laura graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Physiotherapy in 2015. Prior to completing her physiotherapy education, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University in 2013. Laura has worked In various PT settings including medical acute care, inpatient rehab, and orthopedic and neurological private practice.

Most recently Laura has spent time developing her clinical expertise in treating individual’s with neurological dysfunction including stroke, brain injury, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s Disease, in addition to assessing and treating complex injury post motor vehicle accident within the community.

She has developed a special interest and passion for treating those individuals with neurological impairments and has furthered her knowledge in this area of practice by taking Neurodevelopmental Theory (NDT) and Bobath courses.

Laura is passionate about playing the role of an educator in the clinical environment. She finds great benefit in assisting patients to fully understand their conditions and treatment plans to further engage them in their own care.

Keltouma Nouah

Bio

Keltouma graduated with a master's of physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa in 2016. She also has an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences with minor in Life Sciences from the University of Ottawa which she completed in 2014. Keltouma is currently working at multiple clinics and is seeing both Orthopedic and Neurological cases.

Aside from her career in physiotherapy, Keltouma has many years of experience teaching a variety of topics and a variety of students. She taught English as a Foreign Language in Turkey in 2011, has been a teaching assistant at the University of Ottawa for three years. She has been tutoring students during her free time for over 8 years. Keltouma enjoys working along international students to help them achieve their goals.

Keltouma is an avid polyglot who currently speaks five languages : English, French, Arabic, Spanish, and Turkish. She hopes to learn many more over the next years.

Eva Karukes

Bio

Eva received her Master's of Physical Therapy degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2014. After graduating, Eva worked at Lions Gate Hospital for a year. Being a true believer in a continuum of care, she enjoyed treating patients in acute and critical care settings prior to finding her passion for neurological rehabilitation. Since then, Eva transitioned to a private neurological practice where she treats patients with a variety of neurological conditions.To expand her knowledge in neurological rehabilitation, Eva has taken several postgraduate courses, including a 3 week Basic Bobath Course for Assessment and Treatment of Adults with Neurological Conditions, R2P Advanced Management of Post-Concussion Syndrome, Vestibular Rehabilitation Course, and Kinetacore Functional Dry Needling (IMS).Outside of work, Eva enjoys chasing her toddler on playgrounds, running, practising yoga and staying active in every possible way.

Silvana Doria

Bio

Silvana graduated from the University of British Columbia with her Masters in Physiotherapy. She currently works in an acute care at a hospital where the goal is to deliver compassionate care to patients and residents in BC. She has experience in medicine, surgery, ICU and orthopaedics. She has also worked in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation at the Holy Family Hospital in Vancouver B.C. treating patients with neurological deficits as well as amputees.

Silvana’s career prior to becoming a full-fledged physiotherapist is all social, community or not-for-profit based. She enjoys working in environments that “make a difference.”

Silvana understands that every student has a different learning style and she always strives to address those needs, and provide a positive learning environment.

In her own words: "I love to teach because it just feels good to help others. Most of my students know the material well because they've worked so hard in school to learn it. I get a lot out of helping them take their hard work to the next level so that they can pass. An exam shouldn't get in the way of any student becoming a physiotherapist, which is one of the best professions in the world, in my opinion! I love what I do and I want to help others do what they love as well."Silvana is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Lisette Cheng

Bio

Lisette graduated with her Masters of Physiotherapy from UBC in 2015 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria in 2012. Currently, Lisette works mainly in the public practice setting in outpatient orthopaedic trauma and has had experience in the following areas: arthritis acute and transitional care, and geriatric outpatients. Her areas of interest are in paediatrics, arthritis, and hand therapy.

Lisette has volunteered as a UBC patient model for internationally trained physiotherapists preparing for the PCE and was an interviewer for the UBC MPT admissions. She has over two years of experience tutoring students in first year human anatomy (EPHE 141) and human osteology (ANTH 392) at UVic. Lisette is excited to impart her knowledge and recent PCE experiences to those individuals looking to pass the written and practical components.

Jamie Hartwell

Bio

Jamie graduated from the University of British Columbia with her Masters in Physiotherapy. She currently works in a private practice clinic with various populations, from athletes to patients with work and motor vehicle related injuries. She is also working at Vancouver General Hospital in the acute medicine field. Jamie has also done a variety of research projects with Nike, Worksafe BC and the Allan McGavin Sports Medicine clinic. She continues to appreciate and desire to use andadvanced evidence based practice.

She recently discovered her passion for teaching while having her first student and hopes to continue her teaching passion working with PT Exam Prep. The feedback from her first student highly recommended she consider teaching and so as this opportunity came up to join the team she could not say no. In addition to English, Jamie is also fluent in conversation Mandarin and Cantonese. Outside of physiotherapy Jamie enjoys traveling, teaching Zumba and dance, and playing/watching sports.

Dorothy (Dior) Krolak

Bio

Dior received her Master of Physical Therapy degree from Western University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Ottawa. In her spare time, she likes to play ultimate frisbee, cycle, play boardgames, be active outdoors, and spend time with family and friends. She chose to become a physiotherapist to help her clients optimize their quality of life and because of the opportunities to establish strong client rapport. She currently works in outpatient orthopedics and has special interests in pelvic floor health, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

As a teacher, Dior likes to challenge her students to think critically and creatively. She loves to see her students take on the same passion she has for physiotherapy, and can’t wait to see her students succeed!

Janice Low

Bio

Janice obtained her Bachelor of Kinesiology degree, with a focus on neuroplasticity, and her Master of Physical Therapy degree from UBC. Janice is nationally certified to coach multiple sports and enjoyed being the Head Coach of Richmond’s Special Olympics swim team for 4 years.Janice has a passion for teaching and after completing her undergrad, she was torn between going into education or the physiotherapy master's program. She chose physiotherapy because she could do both, patient education is the most important thing to Janice. She has had many teaching experiences; from facilitating a 3 credit course on neuroplasticity at UBC, to creating a training program to teach volunteers how to coach people with intellectual disabilities. Janice realizes that there are many learning styles and aims to tailor her classes to suit the learner’s preferences. She believes positive feedback is just as important as constructive feedback and aims to create a positive atmosphere.In her spare time, you can find Janice skiing, mountain biking, doing yoga, meditating, playing drums or learning new treatment techniques.
